With the diameter of the intake being larger on the MAF side (3") and restricting down to the tb (2.75"), the hps silicone air intake hose increase the air volume as well as the air velocity running into the intake manifold. The air temperature is pretty low and steady comparing to the stock air intake hose or the cr-v tube or the x-intake that I had.
Throttle response is much better, RPM down low no more bogging, Smoother powerband from idle to redline... yeah!
overall, definitely the choice for people who wants to keep stock air intake box or making their own intake with maf pipe and apexi air filter on their civic si.
for those who have tb spacer, expect to do some artwork to cut the silicone hose a little bit to fit.
Better than x-intake, no more "bog" or heat soak
